You might have noticed Something Winnderful has been MIA.

I mean, there hasn’t been a blog post published since October. There are plenty of reasons to explain why I didn’t post, but really it boils down to just not wanting to. That sounds pretty depressing, but really it’s a great thing. Blogging takes so much time that it keeps you from actually getting out and doing stuff. And let me tell you, I have been up to some exciting stuff.
Where Did Something Wonderful Go

So what stuff have I been doing?

  • Carl started nursing school and is kicking ass. It’s been incredibly difficult and stressful, but he’s doing well. It’s scheduled as a 18 month program broken down into multiple 7 week accelerated sessions. He’s made it through 2 sessions and has already had 10+ classmates fail. Terrifying, right? But he’s powering through.
  • We had our first Christmas in our house. Carl put lights on the house and it was as stressful as it was hilarious to watch. He decided to go simple this year but we stocked up on lights at the after Christmas sales.
  • I lost my job. Yeah, that one is a bummer. Turns out when a company loses millions in business, a lot of employees gotta go. I can’t complain though, two days before I was fired I told Carl how I felt I was ready to move on to something else that was more aligned with my interests.

That’s what ultimately led me to the decision to get back to blogging…but not at Something Winnderful.

After years of helping smalls businesses (and a few bigger businesses, as with my recent job) grow successful marketing and social media, I’ve decided it’s time to really put in the hours to making my own business. I’ve tested the idea out several times since starting Something Winnderful and I think it’s time to go all in.  I have the skills to help businesses and bloggers, and now I have the time.

Losing my job was the kick in the butt I needed to get my website up and start pitching clients. In just a month I’m not only finding clients, but I’m also giving them awesome results and getting paid for it. What?!

So if you are a blogger or small business owner, I want to help you be more awesome!

Below you can get a peak at the website (click the logo to visit) as well as sign up for my newsletter and I’ll review your website and email you 5 free specific-to-you tips for improving your web presence.
