Keep up with the latest posts on Bloglovin!

Happy hump day! I’ll be honest with you all, I don’t have much to share with you all.  I’m finally to the point where I’ve caught up on post wedding things and I’m excited to start my new editorial calendar tomorrow.  Fortunately CJ of Some Call Me CJ has not only nominated me for a Leibster (how nice of her!) but she’s given me 11 questions to answer.  So for this post I thought I’d answer those questions.  I also thought I’d share some photos from an “outfit shoot” I attempted a week or two ago.  I use outfit post loosely because literally my whole outfit is from GAP.  That’s what happens when you spend a few months working in a clothing store.  The best photo from the shoot (shoot seems like a lie because it was just my husband taking pictures with my phone) is now my sidebar photo and I’m left with these gems.

1. What makes you boring?

I think my fascination with social media and blogging makes me boring.  I honestly didn’t have any social media accounts other than Facebook until I started my public relations degree.  I think they are an insane tool for communication and for businesses.  The amount of time I could spend discussing social media frightens me haha.

2. What makes you cry?

Really stupid things make me cry.  I cry when I’m really happy or proud.  Like, when I would watch younger dancers or my students perform back when I competed I would tear up because they were doing so well.  I don’t cry over real life situations, but I cry at other people’s situations.  Like, I didn’t cry at my own wedding, but show me a video of a dog greeting its soldier coming home and I will weep all the tears.

3. What makes you laugh uncontrollably?

My husband.  He’s hilarious.  There’s also this video of models stumbling on the runway, I crack up every time.  I don’t know, it’s hilarious.

4. What is one annoying habit you have?

Oh goodness, there’s so many.  I don’t do laundry.  I can get it in the machine, but I can’t manage to put the clothes up.  It’s shameful.  I did manage to do all the laundry in one afternoon from start to finish.  Probably one of my biggest successes as an adult.

5. What item is your shopping weakness?

Food.  Give me the option to have food quickly without any work and I’m one happy girl.

6. Favorite ice cream flavor?

I’m lactose intolerant.  BUT it’s not severe so I grab the occasional maybe icecream cone.  I’ll try anything not vanilla or minty.  I’m a sucker for some sort of chocolate flavor.

7. Pepsi or Coke?

Coke.  100%

8. Warm weather or cold weather?

Warm.  I’m useless in cold weather.  I just can’t do it.

9. What color best describes you?

Green.  Maybe yellow or blue.  It’s earthy, as well as bright and happy and clean.

10. What’s your favorite app?

I really enjoy Instagram.  Recently I’ve been using the My Fitness Pal to get back to eating right and lose some extra weight.  I love having it on my phone because I can enter in what I eat before I forget.

11. What made you choose the college you went to?

Honestly, I chose it because it was the only one that had a good dance program that I was willing to audition for.  My mom applied to colleges for me (I had mixed feelings about what I wanted to do after high school) and I got into all three.  One had a terrible dance program and the other (University of North Carolina) had auditions for their dance program the same weekend as a big dance competition and I didn’t want to skip it.  University of South Carolina had a good dance program that I auditioned and was accepted into (for most college dance majors/programs you have to first get into the school and then apply to be in their program).  In the end it was the best decision I didn’t make myself.  Go Gamecocks!

  • Ugh, soldiers coming home to their dogs ALWAYS gets me. Always, always, always. Actually, anything military gets me sobbing. I don’t know what it is. No one in my family is in the military, but my guy is ex-Navy. Maybe that’s it. Either way, I cry all the tears, too.

I’m the same way, no connection to the military but it still gets me. I do it to myself too. I spent thirty minutes one time watching compilation videos of soldiers coming home. Youtube is just a black hole.

P.S. I totally perused your blog and say I’m on your “read” list, so honored! I loved snooping around your blog. Good for you claiming your blog as your own! It’s your space, you go right ahead and do what you want! Also, The Office IS the greatest show ever.

      • I just want to say: I love you.

        <3 <3 <3

        It's a I-swear-I'm-not-a-creeper kind of love.

  • I am right there with you on the food thing…I am such a fat kid and I’m also lactose intolerant. Can we just talk about the unfairness of that? GAH. Also, you look great in these photos, especially that tiger pose you have going on.

    • SomethingWinnderful

It’s so unfair! There are worse food intolerances to have, but lactose intolerance still sucks! Thanks for the photo compliment! It was hard to be serious when I have my husband going, “wooork it. wooork it. you’re a tiger! be a tiger! blue steal!” while taking my picture. He’s a goober.
