Happy Monday! I want to give ya’ll a brief update on Carl. His surgery went well and his kidney stone has been blasted into a bunch of tiny pieces that he won’t even feel when they pass. After the surgery, the doctor sat with me to give me all the details. She ended it with this, “I warned him the recovery will be very painful, many say it’s worse than the actual kidney stones.
It’s pretty clear the Sarbacker household hasn’t been the healthiest it’s ever been since the start of the year. While Carl’s kidney issue has definitely been needing the most attention, I too have been sick. I’ve had a stomach virus, several migraines and a persistent cold/flu that has been coming and going. With the time off I’ve taken to care for Carl, I can’t lose anymore to annoying illnesses.
I have a confession. Remember how I got a gym membership and took that spin class of death? That was actually my second day of going to the gym. The first day I only made it to the parking lot. I parked, saw just how many cars were there, then got really nervous so I went home…
I was convinced everyone was going to stare at me and judge me because I clearly wouldn’t know what I was doing.
Happy Saturday everyone! I meant to post this yesterday, but it’s been a long week. From spending last weekend puking to starting the Whole 30, it’s been one heck of a week. This post originally appeared on Beyoutiful Beauty, but I figured with the new year and our Whole 30 challenge, now would be a good time to share it with you all.
A Monday post (barely)! It’s been so long! I’ve mentioned I’m excited for Christmas and I must admit there are several reasons why. Besides the obvious ones, Christmas shopping is a big reason I’m excited. Why? Because I had majority of it done before stores started shoving Christmas decor and music down everyone’s throats. I’m pretty much a Christmas shopping beast. I’m also not near as poor as I was last year. But mostly I’m a Christmas shopping beast.
