Are you lucky enough to have today off work? I am, unfortunately Carl is not. Instead of being super lazy I’m trying to a lot around the house and run several errands so I’m not too stressed for the rest of the week. Carl will be starting nursing school soon and is already working weekends more frequently, so I want to avoid spending our time together doing boring stuff like folding laundry. It’s easy to let a day off work get away from you,
I shared on Monday the story behind my first tattoo and I’ve shared other posts about the other tattoos I have. I’ve learned a lot through my experience getting tattoos and I’ve heard some pretty interesting stories about tattoos gone wrong. (The best one is when an 18 year old girl got her mom’s named tattooed on her and she spelled it wrong.
I’m just like the rest of you all out there and have a Pinterest board full of inspirational quotes. It’s just one of those things everyone loves. Over the weekend, I was scrolling through my inspirational board and creating some motivating images to share on my Instagram and a thought occurred to me. How inspirational and motivating are these pretty pictures? What point do they serve?
It’s the start of a new week! I’d be lying if I said I was super ready for this week. Carl and I had an amazingly relaxing weekend and I didn’t want it to end. We ate ice cream, went to Target and bought nothing (I didn’t even know that was possible) and played old school Mario. We continued our tradition of eating Chikfila chicken minis in bed on Saturday morning and spending way too much time cuddling with Gatsby.
Sorry guys, but it’s gonna get a tad bit heavy in today’s post. I hate to do that to you all on a Monday, but it is what it is. A few months ago I shared that I was cutting back on blogging for a bit because I was dealing with depression. It was a bit of a downer, and, to be honest, it was embarrassing and terrifying to share.
